MEASURABLE SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES

What do “Green”, “Sustainable” and “Eco-friendly” mean for sample and unit dose packaging?

The terms Reduce, Re-use and Recycle are the three legs of the sustainability stool that are used on the Green Environmental Logo. Many of the large retail and manufacturing companies are actively engaged in the “Reduce” leg, as it is the fastest and greatest impact action they can take. Packaging material reductions, through the complete supply and manufacturing chain, have immediate and measurable results. Less energy to manufacture, less energy to ship, less waste in stores and homes, less trash in landfills. And the best news in these challenging economic times, is that it saves money!

At JP packaging we have been operating with this practice long before it was fashionable.

  • Environmental stewardship is one of our Core Values.

  • We don’t make claims we can’t support- in any part of our business

  • Integrity- “Do the right thing even when no one is looking”.

Practical applications:

  • Our sample packettes use 46-82% less packaging than other sample formats.
    • Compared to small plastic tubes or paper/ foil stand up packettes.

  • Our manufacturing process generates less total waste.
    • Lean manufacturing and highly efficient set up and production.

  • Everything that can be re-used or recycled - Is.
    • Pallets, corrugate, metal drums and more do not go into landfills.

  • Over 2 million units of product can be shipped on one truck.
    • Less fuel is used on inbound and outbound transportation.

  • We maintain the critical barrier and performance specs for the integrity of your product
    • Better barrier than your primary package.
    • More “billboard” area and printing options than other samples.
